Getting My Money
-
As of March 27, 2023, UpTogether is introducing a virtual wallet to provide payouts to members. A virtual wallet is simply a place to access the money you receive from UpTogether. The funds are held at a bank Sunrise Banks, N.A.
This is not a savings account and you will not receive interest.
We encourage you to register your card in order to qualify for FDIC insurance. To register, provide your full name and mailing address in your virtual wallet account.
Any money you receive from UpTogether will be automatically added to your virtual wallet.
You have multiple options for how to withdraw cash from your virtual wallet:
- Virtual UpTogether card
-
- This is the default option where money from your virtual wallet is stored.
- Physical UpTogether card
-
- In addition to using the card to make purchases, you can use it at ATMs or get cash back in stores.*
*Fees may apply. See your cardholder agreement for details.
- Transfer the money to your bank account
-
- The first transfer out of your bank account each month is at no cost. All other transfers are debited from your account at $1.00 per transfer.
- The maximum amount you can transfer per day is $2,500.
- Paper check
-
- There is a $3.50 fee per check.
- There is no fee when you request account closure and a check for the full amount of the balance on your account.
- The maximum check amount you can request per day is $2,500.
- You’ll get the check in 5 – 10 business days.
- You may request account closure and a check for the full balance on your virtual card by calling 1-855-925-4626.
- There is a $3.50 fee per check.
- Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay
-
- You can add your virtual or physical card to a digital wallet like Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay
-
If you use a virtual or physical UpTogether card, any money you get from UpTogether will automatically be added to the card. You won’t need to do anything.
If you are transferring money to your bank account, this isn’t an automatic process. So every time you get money from UpTogether, you will need to request the transfer manually. We know that can be a pain, so we’re working to automate this process in the future. We will notify you when it’s available.
-
If you have a physical card or virtual card, your available balance stays in your virtual account or physical card account. This means you can always transfer all or part of your available balance to a bank account or request a paper check.
If you had previously requested a check or transfer from the virtual account to your own bank account, you can change the payout method the next time you receive money from UpTogether.
-
