Meridee Moore

Meridee Moore is an investor and corporate finance professional with over thirty years of experience in a wide range of industries. She has been actively involved in several restructurings and strategic repositionings and has overseen investments with complex capital allocation, regulatory, corporate finance, real estate and commodity challenges.

In 2002, Meridee founded Watershed Asset Management, L.L.C., an alternative asset manager based in San Francisco. Before returning capital in 2017, Watershed managed institutional capital, primarily for endowments, foundations and pension funds. As the CEO of an SEC registered investment adviser, Meridee was responsible for all investment and operating functions. Watershed now manages firm capital as Watershed Equity Partners, L.P. During the 15 years Watershed managed investor capital, it achieved annualized net returns that exceeded the HFRI Fund Weighted Composite Index and matched the S&P 500 with less volatility.

Prior to Watershed, Meridee was a partner and portfolio manager at Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C., where she invested in private and public equity, debt, real estate and led the firm’s investments in Japan and Latin America. She started her career as a corporate law associate at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP and spent six years as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers Inc., both in New York.

Meridee serves as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee of Rayonier, Inc. (NYSE:RYN), the only pure play, public timber REIT, where she also serves on the Audit Committee. She served on the Audit and Governance committees of Blackrock Capital Investment Corporation (NASDAQ:BKCC), a business development corporation from 2017 to 2024. Her prior public board service also includes fifteen months on the Board of PG&E Corporation (NYSE:PCG) to which she was appointed by the shareholders as part of a slate to manage the utility through its second bankruptcy. She chaired the Compensation Committee, the Ad Hoc Restructuring Committee, and the ad hoc Real Estate Committee. She also served on the Finance and Nominating and Governance Committees.

Meridee serves on the advisory board of Fiduciary Counseling, Inc., the Twin Cities based investment advisor for a multi-generational family office. She is a founding member of the Global Leadership Council of Right to Play International, a sport for development NGO, where she served on the International Board as Governance Chair. Meridee also serves on the Executive Committee of the Yale Law School Association. She holds a B.A. in philosophy, summa cum laude, from the University of Colorado Boulder and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
