Lauren Woody

Lauren joins the Family Independence Initiative (UpTogether) with more than ten years of experience in operations, development, human resources, and Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) initiatives.
As an experienced social sector professional across all of these areas, she is committed to trust-based partnerships and human-centered organizational cultures and outcomes. Lauren has held development roles at Facing History and Ourselves, which focuses on offering educational resources to prevent hatred and bigotry, and Summer Search Boston, a youth development organization providing professional mentoring, summer experiences and college and career readiness programs for young people. Most recently, Lauren was Culture and Values Manager at the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, where she oversaw the organization’s initial IDEA vision and work. Lauren is passionate about UpTogether’s mission and the chance to work with the families and individuals with whom FII partners.
Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in English from William Smith College in Geneva, NY and lives with her husband and cat, Lady in Jamaica Plain, MA.
