Amanda joined UpTogether as Senior Survey Research Manager in 2023. She is mixed methods researcher and survey methodologist with expertise in responsible data collection, interpretation and application. Her approach centers on rigorous methodology that accounts for the human context, ensuring that research design, measurement reflect the complexity of people’s lived experiences.
Amanda holds a BA in Sociology from Mills College and a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before joining UpTogether, she worked in academic research and non-profit sectors, focusing on community-centered methodologies. She is committed to making research accessible and actionable, transforming technical findings into insights that drive positive impact.
When she is not designing surveys or analyzing data, Amanda can be found dancing with her friends and family — though her moves are considerably less rigorous than her methodology.
