Arlyssa Heard

Arlyssa is a single mother in Detroit whose life is rooted in faith, spirituality and a deep commitment to community. She says she joined the VOICE Board to help influence meaningful change in policy and legislation. She’s found the experience serving on the VOICE Board to be personally meaningful—admitting that she truly feels heard. With a passion for music and a deep belief in the importance of collective voices, Arlyssa is committed to advocating for individuals and families who are often overlooked to ensure they have the opportunity to share their stories and be heard.
