This participating member of the VOICE Board is a Germantown, Maryland resident who says they draw strength from their diverse community and the close-knit family that shaped their own resilience. Losing their father at a young age, served as an early introduction to perseverance and endurance, strengthening this participant’s resolve to work hard and create a better future for others. Passionate about health and wellness, this VOICE Board member believes in caring for both body and mind while helping others do the same. Participating in the VOICE Board allowed this person to share their perspective, lived experiences while also learning from others, turning personal challenges into collective progress. For them, “voice” means being heard and helping others feel seen. To them, this work uplifts real stories, fosters understanding, and builds a more connected, equitable future for all.
